Morgan Wallen Adds Second Hometown Show Due to Unbelievable Demand

Morgan Wallen sells out crowds wherever he goes. With hits like “You Proof” and “Last Night,” the 31-year-old East Tennessee native has become one of country music’s biggest names. So when he announced a show in his hometown of Knoxville, fans naturally flocked to Ticketmaster. And just two hours after tickets went on sale for the Sept. 22 show, news outlets announced that a second concert had been added “due to overwhelming demand.”

Fans Get A Second Chance at Seeing Morgan Wallen in His Hometown

Morgan Wallen grew up in Sneedville, a small town about 70 miles northeast of Knoxville. The “Cowgirls” singer moved to the college town in his teenage years and has remained a steadfast supporter of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Now, Wallen will live out his wildest dreams when he headlines a Sept. 22 show at Neyland Stadium, home of the Vols football team.

For diehard Wallen fans, seeing the country star perform live in his hometown is a can’t-miss opportunity. Fortunately, the ACM Award winner has added an additional stop at Neyland Stadium Friday, Sept. 20. Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 18, at 11 a.m. Eastern.

“Good news for the 100,000+ people in Queue for Morgan Wallen,” one user wrote on X/Twitter. “He has added another show in Knoxville on a Friday!”

Tickets for the Sept. 22 show are currently on sale, but may the odds be ever in your favor.

Knoxville Show Is Wallen’s “Ultimate Dream,” Mom Says

Packing his beloved Vols’ home is the “ultimate dream” for Morgan Wallen, according to his mom, Lesli. And when the “Lies, Lies, Lies” singer takes the stage at Neyland Stadium on Sept. 20, he will join only a handful of artists who have had the privilege of performing on the Vols’ home turf.

The palatial sports venue opened in 1921, but the first concert didn’t happen until Michael Jackson performed there with the Jackson 5 in August 1984. Then, Neyland Stadium went another two decades without a concert—until Kenny Chesney showed up in 2003.

Sixteen years later, more than 84,000 fans packed the stadium for country legend Garth Brooks in November 2019. The venue can hold 101,915 people, so let’s see what Morgan Wallen does with that.
