Both Tennessee and NC State football are looking to build upon their nine-win 2023 seasons when they meet for just the fourth time in history at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on September 7.
The Duke's Mayo Classic will serve as a test for both teams in their second games of the 2024 season. Tennessee won the previous two meetings against NC State, including a 35-21 victory in Atlanta in 2012. The only other meetings were back in 1911 and 1939.
The Volunteers are coming off their winningest two-year span in two decades under Josh Heupel, after going 9-4 and capping last season off with a dominate 35-0 victory over Iowa in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.
The Wolfpack are coming off a strong 9-3 season under Dave Doeren and will have a new quarterback at the helm, landing veteran Grayson McCall from Coastal Carolina.
