KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — After the first-ever soccer broadcast on local Knoxville television last month, 6 News will broadcast One Knoxville SC ‘s upcoming home game against an in-state rival.
Fans will be able to watch Knoxville take on Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Friday, August 16 at 7 p.m. It will be among the final One Knox games at the University of Tennessee’s Regal Soccer Stadium before the multiuse stadium in East Knoxville opens next year.
Both teams play in USL League One, a Division III professional league. The Aug. 16 clash will be the first match of league play to air on 6 News as both teams aim to secure their postseason places. The June 29 match that aired on 6 News was part of the USL Jägermeister Cup, a brand-new in-season tournament.

The top eight teams from the 12-team league will qualify for the postseason. The team also remains in contention to qualify for the knockout stage of the USL Jägermeister Cup with two matches remaining in the group stage.
With just nine goals conceded in league play, Knoxville boasts one of the league’s stingiest defenses once again. Knoxville conceded the joint-fewest goals in 2023 during their inaugural professional campaign but narrowly missed out on a playoff berth.
