CBS Sports college football analyst Todd Fuhrman joined 104.5 The Zone's 3HL on Wednesday and he made quite the statement about the Tennessee Vols' offense in 2024 with redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava under center.

Fuhrman thinks with Iamaleava at quarterback that Tennessee's offense should return to the form we saw in 2022 when the Vols had the No. 1 scoring offense in the nation (as opposed to the No. 37 scoring offense that Tennessee had last season).

"There seems to be a ton of optimism coming from players and coaches that Nico will be the real deal under center," said Fuhrman. "We of course got that great data point for him against a very talented Iowa [defense]. [Nico] added a little bit of bulk this offseason. There's no reason to believe that this Tennessee offense can't get back to being a little bit more dynamic and electric like we saw under Hendon Hooker than the ground-n-pound approach they utilized last year given Joe Milton's accuracy problems more often than not."

That's pretty much the story for Tennessee ahead of the 2024 season. Everyone seems to believe that the offense should be significantly better with Nico under center this fall. But is that what will actually happen this fall?

There's no doubt that the former five-star recruit has the talent to win a Heisman Trophy and lead the Vols to a national championship.

But in a little over a month, all of the talking and speculation will go out the window and he'll have to prove it on the field.

Talking season is almost over. In a month, it'll be time for Nico and the Vols' offense to deliver on the hype.
