Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt showed that he's far more than just a vertical threat on Thursday at New York Giants training camp.

Hyatt, a third round selection by the Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft, put cornerback Tre Hawkins III on skates on Thursday via some impressive route running, drawing some "oohs" and "ahhs" from those in attendance.

That's a clean move from Hyatt. He put his foot in the ground and changed directions on a dime. The defensive back never stood a chance.

Hyatt is looking to break out in 2024 after a trying rookie season that saw the former Vol catch 23 passes for 373 yards and zero touchdowns. A revolving door at quarterback combined with subpar offensive line play hamstrung Hyatt's ability to shine as a rookie last year.

Earlier this offseason, Hyatt told the New York Post that he plans to score in Week 1 of the 2024 season, ending a scoring drought that he says is the longest of his life.

“Week 1,” said Hyatt to the New York Post . “I’m hungry. I’ve never had a season in my life of not scoring a touchdown. That stays with me. That will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. I’ll be ready.”

If he breaks out moves like that in Week 1, getting into the end zone will be no problem for the 2022 Biletnikoff Award winner.
