Wild sagas and new developments continue to shake things up in the Knoxville food and drink scene.

The hectic changes to Honeybee Coffee took a turn this week with the announcement that Norris Hill has regained ownership of the local coffee shop . Hill had sold a majority of the business to self-proclaimed entrepreneur Aaron Hensley , which led to bizarre marketing messages, staff quitting and stores closing.

SmashCity, which briefly set up shop at Honeybee Coffee in West Knoxville, is dealing with its own drama following the news that owners Paul and Ashley Moody have been charged with theft after Marble City Market co-owner Doug White said they embezzled more than $190,000 from the food hall during their time as managers.

In other news, Elst Brewing Company is closing Aug. 5 and will be replaced by The Black Dog, a new brewhouse and restaurant concept from the owners of Stock & Barrel and Chivo Taqueria.

We also got an early look this week at the Neyland Entertainment District, which would include a restaurant and bar overlooking Neyland Stadium.

    See ya'll later!
