    Wanted man arrested in East Knoxville

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A wanted man was arrested by Knoxville Police Department’s East District Officers Thursday night on multiple outstanding warrants, according to a release made by the department.

    Friday afternoon, KPD shared that Desanto Boyd , 37, was arrested at a home in the 4200 block of Mansion Avenue.

    Knoxville Police said Boyd had multiple outstanding warrants, including warrants for domestic assault and felony vandalism, as well as multiple capias warrants for charges ranging from aggravated assault and evading arrest to weapon and drug charges.

    “We are grateful for our officers’ daily efforts to make Knoxville safer,” Knoxville police wrote on social media.

    Court records state that Boyd is expected in court next on July 29.
