New Vols commit says he made the wrong decision by committing to another program before flipping to Tennessee

The Tennessee Vols made a huge move on Sunday by flipping 2025 four-star tight end Da'Saahn Brame from the Oregon Ducks.

Brame, 6-foot-6/235 lbs from Derby, KS, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 5 tight end in the nation and the No. 102 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class. He originally committed to Oregon in late June before flipping his commitment to Tennessee on July 28.

Tennessee was viewed as the leader for Brame before he committed to Oregon in June, which is why his pledge to the Ducks came as a bit of a surprise.

It didn't take long for Brame, however, to realize that he made the wrong decision by committing to Oregon.

"I just kept thinking I made the wrong decision (by committing to Oregon)," said Brame to VolQuest's Austin Price . "I knew where my heart was."

Brame explained to Price that after he committed to Oregon that he realized he should've pushed his original commitment date back to give himself some more time.

Ultimately, it all worked out for Brame. The talented tight end went with his gut and flipped to Tennessee, much to the delight of Vols tight ends coach Alec Abeln and head coach Josh Heupel.

With Brame in the boat, the Vols now have the No. 5 recruiting class in the nation. And they're still hoping to land five-star offensive lineman David Sanders Jr next month.

It's a good time to be a Tennessee fan.
