A 2025 four-star recruit that's expected to land with the Tennessee Vols has officially set his commitment date.

2025 four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny told On3's Chad Simmons this week that he plans to announce his commitment on August 23. He'll be choosing between Tennessee and Florida State.

Konanbanny, 6-foot-1/180 lbs from Columbia, SC (he's originally from France), is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 29 cornerback in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of South Carolina.

"They have been high on my list from the start," said Konanbanny to On3 of his interest in the Vols. "They have been great since they offered and I know everyone on the staff. I have been up there a lot and I love the environment, the people, the mountains, the water and just being there. Then it is not too far from my support system too. Overall, I like the people and the fit at Tennessee.”

On3's Steve Wiltfong identified Tennessee as the team to beat for Konanbanny last month.

"Tennessee is the program to beat for Konanbanny," said Wiltfong .

The Vols currently have 21 players committed to their 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 7 in the nation as of Monday afternoon ( via 247Sports ).
