At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will share an update on proposed a parking plan for the City. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the Council will hear a "report card" on progress. The plan was put on hold until the City could hear more public input. Wu says town hall meetings and presentations of resulted in more input. Wu says "parking is not free" and she wants to determine who should pay.

Wu says people tell her they've never been downtown and don't feel that they need to foot the bill for maintenance. Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.

No paid parking. We are already taxed for upkeep on parking lots, parking garages, and such. We aren't paying twice, we will not go!
