One dead in central Wichita shooting

A shooting in central Wichita Saturday evening leaves a 50-year-old Wichita man dead.

Wichita Police say the call came in around 7:50 p.m. Saturday from the 600 block of N. Topeka. When officers and first responders arrived, they found victim lying in a parking lot. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the case and no suspect is in custody. The name of the victim has not been released.
