The drought continues across much of Kansas, with no end in sight. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News the water situation across the state has reached a "crisis" level. He says it's not only the drought but also pollution. He says there are more than 200 groundwater pollution sites in Wichita and Sedgwick County.

Baty says public education, conservation, and innovation are needed.

Ryan Baty commented during his weekly appearance with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.

Find someone smart to deal with the polluted water, put it in the system, and then stop bitching. If you don't, it's only going to get worse. Green energy mining projects consume massive amounts of water, it's not going away, fix it.
