Muldrow Public Schools superintendent arrested for DUI

TULSA COUNTY, Okla. ( KNWA/KFTA ) — Muldrow Public Schools’ superintendent was arrested Oct. 8 for driving under the influence in Tulsa County, Okla.

Leon Ashlock, 47, is charged with first-offense DUI and transport of an open container. He was released on a $1,100 bond.

Ashlock is listed as the superintendent on the Muldrow Public Schools website .

Without mentioning Ashlock, Muldrow Public Schools released a statement on Facebook acknowledging a traffic accident involving one of the district’s vehicles on the Creek Turnpike and that the driver was taken into custody by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

This afternoon the Muldrow Public Schools was notified by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol that one of the district’s vehicles was involved in a traffic accident on the Creek Turnpike. As a result, the vehicle sustained damage, and the operator of the vehicle was taken into custody by the OHP. The board of education is collecting information concerning these events and the involvement of district personnel. The district will have no further comment at this time as it seeks to learn the facts but will provide a full report to the Muldrow community at the appropriate time.
