Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning the area had freeze warnings with temperatures reaching as low as 30 degrees in some areas.

“Thanks to the hero at the Dollar General Market who heard the puppies crying, they are now safe, warm and will be going to a foster family soon,” the post said.

Police need the public’s help finding more information about the incident. Police are asking the public to call 479-736-8400 if they have any information.

People who are looking for animal or pet resources can call their county animal shelter for help.

A freeze warning is in effect for Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington counties from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Temperatures are to reach as low as 34 degrees.

Thank God someone heard them crying. Poor babies. The person who did that should go to jail. That was inhumane
