HINDSVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — It took a team effort early Thursday morning to tackle a large house fire in Madison County.

The Goshen Fire District said in a social media post around 4 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 400 block of County Road 8109 in Hindsville.

Once crews arrived on the scene, they found a two-story home with heavy smoke.

GFD said crews faced difficult conditions due to the cold weather, limited resources and “unconventional fire behavior”.

After several hours, crews were released and left the scene with local fire departments.

Nob Hill Fire Department, Hindsville Fire Department, Smyrna Fire Department, Clifty Fire Department, and Springdale Fire Department also assisted.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
