Oklahoma Highway Patrol searching for suspect throwing rocks, breaking windshields on Indian Nation Turnpike

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla ( KFOR ) — Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding a person who has been throwing rocks off of overpasses on the Indian Nation Turnpike.

Authorities say the incident has happened on four separate occasions in the last month. Five vehicles’ windshields have been hit and broken during just one of the incidents alone. This has taken place between mile markers 21 and 34, north of Antlers in Pushmataha County.

OHP says they have been working with Turnpike Authority by installing cameras in the area. They have captured images of a dark SUV, currently a vehicle of interest.

Throwing rocks at vehicles is considered a felony and is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine, according to OHP.
