Fayetteville-based Slim Chickens expands to Germany

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Slim Chickens is saying “Guten Tag” as it cuts the ribbon for a restaurant in Berlin, Germany over the weekend.

The Fayetteville-based restaurant announced on its Facebook page that “If you’re ever across the pond make sure to go check it out.” It’s the restaurant’s first location in Germany.

What started in a garage with a turkey fryer and free samples to test what tasted the best is now what is known as Slim Chickens and can be found in many states across the U.S.

Some new restaurants coming soon include:

• Gambrills, Md
• Lincoln Neb.
• Myrtle Beach, S.C.
• Smithfield, N.C.
• Warner Robins, Ga.
• Waukee, Iowa

The first store location opened in Fayetteville on N. College Avenue in 2003.
