    FSPD: Alma man arrested after gun discharged in Central Mall parking garage

    FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fort Smith police say an Alma man was arrested on Sunday afternoon after a gun was discharged in the parking garage at Central Mall.

    The department said in a news release that Zachary Bryant, 22, was arrested in Crawford County.

    FSPD said it responded to a shooting call at 5111 Rogers Avenue and found a gun was discharged in the parking garage part of Central Mall.

    No injuries were reported in the altercation and all parties were quickly identified, the release said.

    The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says Bryant was arrested on 22nd Street in Van Buren by the Van Buren Police Department.

    FSPD said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available. They also mentioned there is no threat to the public.
