SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Springdale police attempted a traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. that ended in a 26-year-old’s death, according to a news release.

The release states that Springdale police reported a car traveling on the wrong side of the road near Thompson (Highway 71B) and Robinson. The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver, Rokson Kabua, from Springdale, fled toward Fayetteville at speeds more than 100 mph, police say.

Kabua went onto the interstate where multiple officers pursued the vehicle. The driver then had a “single vehicle accident” near mile marker 68, the release states.

Kabua was dead on the scene. No other passengers were in the vehicle, the report states.

The Arkansas State Police is investigating the accident.

Probably a felon on the run and didn't want to go to or back to prison. We have no idea what he did prior to this incident yet.
