Arkansas consumers can claim part of $152.2M tuna settlement

MISSOURI ( KTVI ) – Arkansas residents who purchased canned or pouched tuna between June 1, 2011, and July 1, 2015, could qualify to receive cash from a $152.2 million class action settlement.

According to the JNG Legal Administration, the settlement comes after the parent companies of Starkist and Lion Companies allegedly raised or fixed the price of packaged tuna products in violation of unfair competition laws.

If the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California approves the settlement, Starkist and Lion Companies have agreed to pay the total benefits.

Arkansas is among several states where residents can file a claim.
