Fayetteville behavioral treatment center employee accused of inappropriate relationship with minor pleads not guilty

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Farmington woman employed at a behavioral treatment center in Fayetteville accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a minor has pleaded not guilty, according to court documents.

Stormy Ellison, 25, was arrested on August 15 on one count of sexual indecency with a child.

A police report said on August 14, a Department of Human Services hotline report was sent to the Fayetteville Police Department by an investigator with the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.

The DHS hotline report said that Ellison, a behavioral health associate at Piney Ridge Treatment Center, allegedly showed a juvenile resident nude videos and photos of herself.

Piney Ridge is described as a residential treatment center for children and adolescents struggling with sexual behavior disorders and mental health illnesses, according to its website .

The police report says the juvenile was interviewed and said that Ellison asked him questions about his virginity and sexual history using an app on her phone and reportedly proposed the two engage in sexual activity.

They said the behavior started on August 6 and continued over the following couple of days. Ellison reportedly brought the juvenile food during that time and allowed him to speak with someone over FaceTime, which is against the center’s policy, the police report said.

Ellison was later interviewed and initially denied the behavior but later claimed she couldn’t remember if she did it or not.

The police report said she corroborated most of the juvenile’s statements, including using an app to discuss sexual acts.

She admitted to speaking to the juvenile about meeting for sex after he was released from the center but claimed she did not plan on doing that, according to the police report.

“Ellison was a mandated reporter in a position of trust and authority over the juvenile victim due to her job duties,” the report said.

Ellison’s trial date has been set for January 10, 2025.
