Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith to host interviews for those with disabilities

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith will host a hiring event Oct. 7 for those with disabilities.

According to a press release, the event will look like a traditional interview day with additional accommodations provided for attendees.

Mercy says candidates should register ahead of the event to secure their interview time, but walk-in candidates can participate if time allows.

“In the workplace, disability inclusion is not just a checkbox, but a commitment to recognizing and valuing the diverse talents and perspectives of individuals with disabilities,” said Marisa Hiatt, Mercy’s director of disability and experience. “For the third year at Mercy, these events help us celebrate the strength and innovation that comes from creating truly inclusive environments where everyone can thrive during National Disability Employment Awareness Month and throughout the year.”
