Severe drought is beginning to seep into portions of Northwest Arkansas, and conditions could get even worse as we head into the latter half of next week. Dry weather will continue to be the name of the game for the next couple of weeks, as the jet stream energy required for shower and storm development stays well off to the north of our weather coverage area. Furthermore, another “dry” cold front will push through the area late Sunday into Monday morning, dramatically dropping off our dewpoints and elevating fire weather concerns along the I-49 corridor. Burn bans should remain in place for the foreseeable future, so make sure you’re being very careful if you have outdoor activities planned over the coming weeks!

Razorback Gameday Forecast vs Tennessee!

WOO PIG SOOIE! The Arkansas Razorbacks are back in town for a “Stripe Out” Saturday night against the Tennessee Volunteers, and the weather is looking great for a big upset! High temperatures will be a little toasty over Fayetteville for tailgating, as abundant sunshine warms us up into the upper 80s. Humidity will also be a little high for this time of year, so make sure you have plenty of water packed as you head to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium!

Kickoff is set for 6:30 P.M., so temperatures should drop off pretty quickly throughout the game! In fact, by the time you’re celebrating a Razorback victory on Dickson Street, temperatures should drop off into the 60s areawide! Speaking of victory, I’ve got the Hogs shocking the world in a major upset 31-28, as Taylen Green leads the Hogs down the field for a game-winning touchdown drive!
