NWACC hosts one-day AI workshops for professionals

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is now offering a series of three one-day intensive workshops focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Designed for professionals at all levels, these workshops cater to beginners and require no prior AI experience, making them accessible to a broad audience.

“Participants will explore tools for data analysis, communication, time management and more, gaining practical skills that enhance productivity and decision-making,” Chris Lynch, NWACC’s director of advanced technologies, said. “Each session fosters an interactive environment to develop foundational AI knowledge and advance toward more specialized training.”

The workshops are scheduled for Oct. 17, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12, taking place in person at NWACC’s Burns Hall.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn a certificate of completion, which acknowledges their AI skills and can serve as a potential steppingstone toward advanced AI certifications offered by the college.

“As AI technologies continue to evolve, the workforce must be equipped to utilize them effectively,” Lynch said. “Industries worldwide are increasingly adopting AI-driven processes, and employees who understand how to leverage these tools will gain a competitive advantage.”
