The heat wave will persist in Southern California on Thursday, with some areas expecting triple-digit temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service , temperatures will be between 95 to 105, adding that  Lancaster is expected to reach 112 degrees while Palmdale could reach up to 110 degrees.

Dave Bruno with the NWS said the hills are going to be blistering hot.

“100 degrees in some parts of the Santa Monica, the valleys,” he said. “We'll have temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees.”

Bruno added that temperatures are expected to slowly decrease in the next few days. An excessive heat warning was put into place until 9 p.m.
    Saturday.

Cal ISO, the grid’s operator, believes it should have enough power to meet demand.

Cooling centers are available in L.A. and L.A. County. To find a location, visit ready.lacounty.gov/heat/ or call 211.
