Encino home burglarized while babysitter, kids were inside

A home in Encino was burglarized early Thursday while a babysitter was inside with two children, but no one was hurt.

Officers were sent to the 4900 block of Edgerton Avenue about 12:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspects entered by breaking a glass door, and fled with unknown items, police said. No injuries were reported, and no suspect description was available, police said.

According to Fox 11 , the babysitter was upstairs with two children, ages 2 and 4, and heard the sounds of breaking glass and burglars downstairs. She then locked herself and the children in a room and called 911.
