Anaheim hit-and-run driver kills 84-year-old man

An 84-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle Monday morning in Anaheim, authorities said.

Officers were sent to Anaheim Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. Monday regarding a person lying on the ground. They located the victim suffering from severe traumatic injury, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

"Due to the ongoing investigation, the suspect vehicle description will not be released at this time," police said.
