    16-year-old girl missing from East L.A.

    Authorities sought the public's help Monday in locating a 16-year-old girl who was last seen in an unincorporated area in East Los Angeles.

    Ashley Espinoza was last seen in the 500 block of North Herbert Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

    Espinoza was described as a 4-foot-11-inch tall Hispanic girl weighing 100 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a black T- shirt and blue jeans.

    Sheriff's officials said that Espinoza's family is growing concerned about her well-being and is asking for the public's help finding her.

    Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Espinoza was urged to contact Detective Lavin or the East Los Angeles Station on-duty watch commander at 323-264-4151. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org .

    idk if y'all noticed but there are kidnappings going on in South LA. A cousin of mine almost got snatched yesterday by 3 men in a windowless vehicle. Good thing she got away. Also, a child got kidnapped, probably by the same men. I need to hurry and get strapped just in case.
