CANOGA PARK (CNS) - An unknown number of suspects were seen fleeing in two vehicles after carrying out a smash-and-grab robbery at a Nordstrom in Canoga Park, authorities said Saturday.

The crime occurred around 5:15 p.m. Friday at the Westfield Topanga shopping center at Victory and Topanga Canyon boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

Police did not specify what was taken or how many suspects were involved, but described the two vehicles seen fleeing the scene as a "black vehicle" and a "white vehicle."

According to ABC7, the suspects ran out of the Nordstrom store and some were seen escaping into a black Audi and a white BMW SUV.

A similar smash-and-grab occurred at the store on Aug. 12, 2023, perpetrated by at least 30 masked suspects who smashed display cases and grabbed merchandise before fleeing.

Anyone with information regarding either crime was urged to call the LAPD's Topanga station at 818-756-4800 or, during non-business hours and weekends, 877-527-3247. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or go to www.lacrimestoppers.org.
