    L.A. could see power shutoffs because of Santa Ana winds

    Southern California Edison is putting customers on notice about potential power shutoffs.

    Santa Ana winds are set to come through on Friday, increasing fire risks. SoCal Edison says 132,000 customers are under consideration for safety shutoffs, including more than 28,000 in Los Angeles County and 46,000 in San Bernardino County.

    The city of Malibu has also told residents to be prepared for potential shutoffs on Friday and Saturday.
