Nevada store hosts Prom Expo to kick off formal season

NEVADA, Mo. (KOAM) - With prom season just around the corner, many high school students are already preparing.

The Boutique Marketplace in Nevada hosted a prom expo to help.

The local store had vendors and stylists to help teens and parents get ready for the big day

Prom goers could look at corsages, browse through dozens of consignment dresses, or get fitted for a tuxedo.

The store owner says they hope the Prom Expo makes the big day less stressful.

“So you can get it all taken care of at once. We have everything lined out for you," says Beth Stewart, owner of The Boutique Marketplace. "We have our stylists that are here to help you pick out your ensemble and make sure everything is perfect.”

Stewart says prom will be here before you know, so she recommends preparing for the big day sooner rather than later to ensure you find exactly what you're looking for.
