    500 Crawford County students graduate from youth leadership program

    PITTSBURG, Kan. (KOAM) -- More than 500 sixth grade students in Crawford County graduated from a youth leadership program Tuesday.

    The Pittsburg Area Chamber Foundation has hosted the program for 21 years now.

    It helps students develop leadership skills including teamwork, communication, resolving conflict, and leading by example.

    The program has been instituted in every junior high school in Crawford County.
