CARTHAGE, Mo. (KOAM) -- Mark Twain Elementary School students gift blankets to Mercy Carthage patients.

According to the school, students created handmade blankets as part of an economics project. The students collaborated with CIC students to cut the fabric, tie the blankets together, and deliver the blankets.

The school says, "The project is a beautiful demonstration of #TigerPride and generosity, as they prepare to deliver the blankets to those in need of a warm hug."

The event took place at Mark Twain Elementary School at 2 p.m. on May 2, 2024.
