    Frontenac alum Logan Myers named MIAA freshman of the year

    Emporia State freshman Logan Myers is named MIAA

    Kansas City, Mo. -- Frontenac High School alum ('22) Logan Myers is named MIAA baseball co-freshman of the year, the conference announces Thursday.

    Myers is in his freshman season at Emporia State University. He shares the award with Central Missouri pitcher Jack Scott.

    Below is a portion of the press release from the MIAA:

    Jack Scott and Logan Myers were each honored as the MIAA Freshman of the Year... Myers is a first-year from Pittsburg, Kan., on the Hornets baseball team. He started the majority of his 44 starts at second base where he was responsible for 98 assists, 68 putouts and 21 doubles plays with a .988 fielding percentage. At the plate, he’s hitting .301 with 161 at-bats. He collected the second-most hits (53), runs scored (42) and walks (37) for the Hornets in the regular season.
