    MSSU beats Pitt State 9-5 in MIAA Tournament

    Missouri southern bests Pittsburg State 9-5 on Thursday afternoon.

    PITTSBURG, Kan. - Missouri Southern baseball faces Pitt State in the MIAA Semifinals round. The tournament is formatted in double elimination. Pitt State is this year's host of the 2024 MIAA Tournament.

    The Lions jumped out to a 9-0 lead; the Gorillas scored five runs in the final three innings of the ball game. Missouri Southern wins the game 9-5 and advances to the winner's bracket.

    MSSU faces Washburn tomorrow morning at 11 am. Pitt State goes to the loser's bracket and will face Central Missouri at 3 pm.
