Kansas Governor orders flags at half-staff for Memorial Day

KANSAS (KOAM) -- Governor Laura Kelly announces that flags throughout the state of Kansas be flown at half-staff on Memorial Day.

According to the Kansas Office of the Governor, flags should be flown at half-staff from sunup until noon on Monday, May 27, 2024, in recognition of Memorial Day.

"The brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms represent the best of Kansas and our nation," Governor Laura Kelly said. "On Memorial Day and every day, we owe them our deepest gratitude for their service."
