Temperatures Soar Back Up After a Cooler Sunday

High temperatures and summer storms are upon us.

Heat Advisories:

• Nowata and Washington Counties are under an Excessive Heat Warning due to heat index getting up to 115°F through 9PM today.
• The rest of the western counties are all under a Heat Advisory due to heat index reaching 108°F today and Tuesday.

36 Hr Temperature Trend:

• Sunday was much cooler and drier due to the cold front that passed on Saturday.
• Temperatures got up to mid to lower 80s for the high yesterday.
• Unfortunately, we heat back up very quickly today and tomorrow.

Tuesday High Temperatures:

• High temperatures forecasted in the upper 90s Tuesday and possibly reaching the triple digits.
• Heat index will likely range from 103°-110°F.

Rain Returns Tuesday:

• A frontal boundary moves through Tuesday evening bringing a line of storms along with it.
• We are not expecting severe weather at this time, however storms are forecasted to continue on and off through Thursday.

10 Day Forecast:

• Hot and humid conditions continue through Tuesday.
• Rain chances pick back up Tuesday night and increase on Thursday giving us a rainy forecast for this 4th of July.
• We cool off again following storm chances on Thursday and stay steady in the low to mid 90s for the weekend.
