KDOT accepting applications for innovative technology program

KANSAS (KOAM) -- The Kansas Department of Transportation is accepting applications for the Innovative Technology Program.

According to KDOT, the program provides financial assistance to government and non-government organizations to promote safety improve access or mobility and implement new transportation technology.

KDOT says "Innovative Technology" is any technology that does not currently exist in the local community of the project. All transportation projects are eligible including roadway, rail, aviation, unmanned aerial systems, bicycle/pedestrian, public transit, software and technology infrastructure.

The project concepts deadline is November 17, and the application deadline is November 30.
