    Pittsburg State University gears up for annual Family Fun Day for kids

    PITTSBURG, Kan. (KOAM) - Pittsburg State University is set to host its annual Family Fun Day for kids on Saturday, Sept. 14, offering a variety of engaging activities.

    Registration for Family Fun Day for Kids is currently open and will continue until 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 13.

    The fun begins with check-in at 1:15 p.m. at the Overman Student Center. From 2 to 4 p.m., children will rotate through various activity stations, including:

    • Nature Reach: A hands-on experience with live animals, offering a chance to interact and learn about different species.
    • HHPR: Get moving with the Health, Human Performance, and Recreation department, focusing on physical activity.
    • Pitsco: Dive into science and technology through exciting, interactive demonstrations.
    • Ultimate Art: Unleash creativity and craft a unique masterpiece to take home.

    The cost for participating children is $12, which covers all activities, a Pitt State goodie bag, and a meal voucher redeemable at select vendors in Gorilla Village.

    While the event primarily targets children aged 3-12, younger children (aged 2 and under) can attend for free.

    Adult supervision is required, and parents or guardians are welcome to attend at no additional cost.
