A Semi truck crash that takes out a highway sign on I-44 tops Shannon’s Big 3 this week

Big story #3 – Just before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday a storm rolled through areas of Duenweg, Carterville, and Scotland. In Scotland, the sheet metal building at a trucking company just off county lane 175 was stripped of its metal. A semi-trailer was blown on its side.

Big story #2 –  A pickup truck and food trailer burn at Lowe’s. Carthage police tell us there were no injuries. Explosions were heard and flames were visible from churros Colima. At least two propane tanks were blown away from the fire. One is about 100 feet to the north.

Big story #1 – Just before 7 a.m. Tuesday reports of a crash at I-44 West, exit 8, onto Rangeline road. This caused the westbound interstate to shut down around 8 a.m.
