    6-year-old Medflighted to hospital following ATV crash near Carthage

    JASPER COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) - A 6-year-old boy was taken by helicopter to a Springfield hospital following an ATV crash near Carthage Sunday (Sept. 1) night.

    According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the boy was driving a Zhejiang ATV west on Dispatch Road, south of Carthage.

    The boy hit a concrete driveway and was ejected from the ATV.

    MSHP reported the boy was  taken by Medflight to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

    The report listed the boy in serious condition when he was taken to the hospital.

    According to the report, a safety device was in use when the crash occurred.

    the parents of that 6 year old should be held accountable, that's bullshit letting a 6 year old ride an ATV alone, Horrible Parenting. Smh.

    I don't think a 6 year old kid should be driving a ATM , I'm sure if you were reading this about another 6 year old and your kid didn't drive one , you would feel very different
