MDC, NDA host webinar to help identify fatal disease in deer

(KOAM) - The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and the National Deer Association (NDA) are offering a free Zoom webinar on September 10 at 6 p.m. to help landowners identify hemorrhagic disease in deer.

The session will include a presentation by an MDC deer biologist and a Q&A with MDC and NDA staff.

Hemorrhagic disease, spread by midge flies, is caused by the epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV) and bluetongue virus (BTV).
