John Deere recalls its Compact Utility Tractors due to crash hazard

(KOAM) -- John Deere is recalling its Compact Utility Tractors due to possible crash hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the front bell crank in the brake linkage can fail causing the tractor to lose braking, resulting in a crash hazard.

The recall includes:

• 1023E Compact Utility Tractor
• 1025R Compact Utility Tractor
• Recalled tractors are green and yellow.

CPSC says consumers should stop using the recalled tractors and contact an authorized John Deere dealer to schedule an appointment to repair the tractor.

The recalled tractors were sold at John Deere dealers nationwide from November 2017 through July 2024.
