The Lions preview their matchup with #18 Emporia State

JOPLIN, Mo. -- Missouri Southern football (1-5, 0-4 MIAA) is set to host #18 Emporia State (5-1, 4-1 MIAA) on Saturday.

The Lions are still looking for their first MIAA victory of the season, as well as their first home win.

"Our guys have a tremendous amount of respect for each other," MSSU head coach Atiba Bradley says. "We understand that the results are not what we wanted, not what we planned for. We weren't shooting for this start."

"It all starts in practice," MSSU freshman running back Victor Chionuma says. "Getting those repsm everybody talking -- seeing what we see, and seeing what we don't see."

Saturday's game is scheduled to kick off at 1 PM at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
