Gorillas speak on Lopers ahead of this Saturday

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The Pitt State Gorillas face their toughest road competition yet. The Gorillas are preparing to travel to play Nebraska-Kearney. The team spoke during its weekly press conference leading up to the game.

"Our attention to detail has been really important," said PSU defensive end James Smith, "even from the players standpoint and the coach's standpoint, like everyone is on us, everyone is talking to us to make sure we're in the right spots. One thing I think we do really well is we stop the run. Makes everything easier when you make a team one dimensional."

"Kearney is a good team they present a challenge for us upfront," said PSU quarterback Chad Dodson, "they're fast, in the back end they're long and pretty athletic guys. They've been a challenge for us since my first time being here. They beat us in 20' they beat us in 21' we beat them in 22' on the last play of the game. Now they got their new staff and they're doing some really good things defensively, so it'll be a big challenge for us."

The game kicks off this Saturday scheduled at 2:00 pm.
