Record-Low Chill Transforms into Warm Weekend with Gusty Southerly Winds

After a record low temperature this week, we warm up with some strong southerly winds.

36 Hour Trend:

• We hit record lows Wednesday morning, with temperatures in the upper 20s.
• Unfortunately, it did not last long as we started on a warming trend that very next day.

Friday Winds:

• Winds have been strong with gusts 20-25 mph.
• Winds continue to strengthen intermittently through the weekend starting Friday morning.
• Gusting winds up to 30-35 mph through most of the day.

Upper Level Flow:

• We start a warming trend through the weekend due to the ridge sitting over us.
• A cutoff low sits over southwestern US through the weekend before reconnecting with the upper level flow and propagating eastward bringing a few showers along with it.

Monday Rain Chances:

• When the low finally shifts, we see a slight chance for a few showers Monday afternoon and into the evening.
• These will not be strong showers and may not accumulate much in the way of rainfall either.

10 Day Forecast:

• After our brief showers on Monday, we'll continue on the warming trend with temperatures reaching low to mid 80s through the rest of the week and weekend.
• Our next cold front appearing just before Halloween.
