Parsons PD warns people about a new scam impacting Evergy

PARSONS, Kan. (KOAM) -- The Parsons Police Department is warning consumers about a new scam involving Evergy.

According to the police department, scammers are claiming to be representatives from Evergy and asking people for payments to get the account holder in good standing.

Evergy says this is not a tactic they use.
