UPDATE: About 9:30 p.m. Sunday night the Honor Escort of Tucker Berry left Mercy Hospital and traveled to the private air terminal at Joplin Regional Airport. He was in the care of a special medical donation team. Tucker was an organ donor.
JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) - Joplin-area firefighter, Tucker Berry, was injured Saturday in an incident involving a golf cart while off duty.
Carl Junction Fire confirmed to KOAM they responded late Saturday afternoon, 6:06 p.m. to an incident in the 300 block of Fairway Drive in their city. METS ambulance rushed a 22-year-old male to an area hospital suffering serious injuries.
Dade County 911 release information 2:15 p.m. Sunday stating.
"We are so saddened to learn that Tucker did not survive. He was truly one of a kind! In true Tucker fashion, he will continue to serve others since he was an organ donor. Please pray for his family and his brothers and sisters with Redings Mill, Lockwood Fire Protection District and Dade County First Responders. They will need support more than ever in the days ahead.
