"I'll treasure those times forever."He also says that, just like Kristofferson's many fans, he's grieving the loss of a one-of-a-kind musical talent."Artists and songwriters of this caliber come along very rarely and he certainly made his mark on the world," Strait writes. No cause of death was immediately available, but the Kristofferson family shared their gratitude for the time they had with him and for the support they received from his many fans.Many other country artists have turned out on social media to share remembrances of the late, great singer-songwriter.Kristofferson will also be remembered for his successful acting career, including his starring role in the 1976 film A Star Is Born.
