Less than a day after pledging to help flood-ravaged areas of east Tennessee and western North Carolina, the singer sent a very large check to the American Red Cross.</p><p>Per <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/country/morgan-wallen-donates-red-cross-hurricane-helene-relief-efforts-1235789228/">Billboard</a>, Wallen made a $500,000 donation.</p><p>"Those hills and hollers are very important to me in so many ways," <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/morgan-wallen-hurricane-helene-storm-relief/">he wrote</a>. "It's going to take a monumental effort."</p><ul><li><a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/09/29/helene-live-updates-north-carolina/75440372007/">people were killed by Hurricane Helene</a> as it worked from Florida up through Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.</li><li>A representative with Buncombe County (Asheville, N.C.) Emergency Services described the flooding as "biblical."</li><li>Ten inches of rain fell in eastern Tennessee and Virginia. Up to 30 inches may have fallen in western North Carolina.</li></ul><p><a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/tags/luke-combs/">Luke Combs</a> is another artist who has pledged help. <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/tags/eric-church">Eric Church,</a> <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/tags/chase-rice/">Chase Rice</a> and <a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/tags/chris-lane/">Chris Lane</a> are three more native North Carolinians who have pledged help in some kind of way.</p><p>"To all the families and first responders, you are in our prayers and we are doing everything we can to get you the help you need now," <a href="https://x.com/ericchurch/status/1840195669039988885">Church writes on X</a>.</p><p>It will take quite a long time before the full effects of the storm are know. <a href="https://www.newschannel5.com/news/three-dead-100-missing-in-east-tennessee-after-disastrous-flooding">News Channel 5</a> in Nashville shares that three are dead and 100 are missing in Tennessee.</p><p><a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/09/29/helene-live-updates-north-carolina/75440372007/">USA Today</a> shares that 1,000 people were missing in Buncombe County and two million people are without power in the area.</p><h2>See Inside Morgan Wallen's Recently Sold Nashville Home</h2><p><a href="https://tasteofcountry.com/tags/morgan-wallen/">Morgan Wallen</a> has sold his Nashville home for $835,000.
